FilterdWaterGuide.com is reader-supported. When you buy through links on our site, we may earn an affiliate commission at no additional cost to you. This commission helps fund our research and keeps the site running.
How We Make Money
We participate in affiliate programs with water filtration manufacturers and retailers. When you click a product link on our site and make a purchase, the retailer pays us a referral fee. The price you pay is the same whether you use our link or go directly to the retailer.
Our current affiliate relationships include:
- Amazon Associates — We earn 3–4.5% on qualifying purchases made through Amazon links on this site. Amazon and the Amazon logo are trademarks of Amazon.com, Inc.
- Crystal Quest — Direct affiliate partnership for whole-house and RO filtration systems.
- Additional brand partnerships — We work directly with select water filtration manufacturers whose products meet our editorial standards.
What This Does Not Change
Affiliate commissions do not influence our product assessments. Our editorial process is the same regardless of whether a product has an affiliate program:
- Every product recommendation is verified against the NSF International certification database — not manufacturer marketing materials.
- We distinguish between “NSF certified” (independent third-party verification with ongoing audits) and “tested to NSF standards” (manufacturer self-testing without oversight). This distinction appears in every review.
- Products on our red line list are never recommended regardless of commission opportunity. This includes Berkey (EPA Stop Sale), Kangen/Enagic (MLM, no NSF certification), and Jolie (NSF denied certification claims).
- We recommend products without affiliate programs when they are the best option. Not every recommendation earns us a commission.
How to Identify Affiliate Links
Affiliate links on this site typically point to Amazon.com (with our associate tag), manufacturer websites, or authorized retailers. Product links within buying guides and review articles are affiliate links unless otherwise noted.
